Frequently asked questions

How does Meal Planner Deluxe work?

Add each person in your group with their dietary restrictions, allergies, and ingredient dislikes. Meal Planner Deluxe instantly matches recipes from our database and ranks them by how many people can eat each meal.

Does it use AI to generate recipes?

No. Recipes come from TheMealDB (an open-source, human-curated database) and community submissions from real people. We use a deterministic matching algorithm, not AI. No generated content, no fake ingredient lists.

Is Meal Planner Deluxe free?

Yes. Meal Planner Deluxe is free during the open beta. All features including unlimited matches, copy, print, and save are available at no cost.

Do I need to create an account?

No. You can start matching meals immediately with no account. If you want to save your groups across devices, you can optionally create a free account.

What dietary restrictions are supported?

Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut allergy, and shellfish allergy. You can also list specific ingredients each person dislikes.

How many recipes are in the database?

We pull from TheMealDB (300+ real recipes across 37 cuisines) plus community-submitted recipes. The database grows as more people contribute their own recipes.
