  • cherry tomatoes
  • fresh mozzarella
  • basil
  • olive oil
  • balsamic vinegar

Directions

  1. 1Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook penne until al dente.
  2. 2While pasta cooks, halve cherry tomatoes and tear fresh mozzarella into pieces.
  3. 3Mince garlic and warm in olive oil over low heat for 2 minutes—do not brown.
  4. 4Drain pasta and toss with garlic oil, cherry tomatoes, and mozzarella.
  5. 5Season with salt and pepper, drizzle with balsamic vinegar, and top with fresh basil.
